Modern psychology today seems to suggest that living with fears is normal. Some popular phrases are,
Fear will always limit you and keep you from being the person you really want to be. Fear is destructive and it ruins lives.
Learning to live with your fears is not the answer. Ignoring your fears is not the answer. Getting rid of your fears is the answer and it is available.
If it is “normal” to live with fear why is it that not clearly spelled out to us in the Bible? In fact, just the opposite is true.
Many times on the pages of Scripture you will find the phrase, “Fear not.” If it is normal to accept your fears, why would God instruct us to be abnormal by saying, “Fear not?”
Why does the Bible say, “I sought the Lord and He heard me and delivered me from all my fears”?
If it were God’s intention for us to embrace our fears why doesn’t it say, “I sought the Lord and He helped me to embrace and accept all my fears”?
God never intended for His people to be defeated and full of fear. He desires just the opposite, that we live a fulfilled life, an abundant life.
He wishes above all things that we prosper and be in health. The Bible says that fear has torment and that is so true.
So many Christians are living needlessly with fears – all sorts of fears. God can deliver you of any and every fear. He can even deliver you from your deepest fear.
Jesus told a man whose daughter had just died, “Fear not, only believe!” The man refused to fear and believed, and his daughter was raised back to life!
Why did Jesus tell him, “Fear not?” Because fear will always keep you from believing and accepting the promises of God. But when you believe the promises of God, you will see them come to pass in your life.
Are you tired of living with fear? God can deliver you! Ask God to help you and deliver you from all your fears.
Phobias: Irrational But Real
Very few people can claim that they are not afraid of real, live snakes. Unless one is a snake charmer, the sight of a snake can easily bring terror in the hearts of most people.
While there are those who can even make a pet out of these venomous reptiles, many of us would still find it difficult to get near a tamed or caged serpent.
There is nothing wrong with this fear.
But when a mere mention or picture of a snake would send a grown-up man shrieking in hysteria, something could be terribly wrong. Such fear becomes a phobia, an intense but irrational fear of something that poses little or no actual danger.
Ophidiophobia, or the fear of snakes, does not only refer to the fear of actual contact of live snakes, but also, even in the absence of actual live snakes, such as seeing them only in pictures, on t.v., or just a mere mention of snakes that may actually cause a full blown panic attack.
While phobias may be irrational, they are real and serious disorders, which can be treated. People should not be ashamed why they experience such unusual fear and anxiety.
People with phobias, especially adults, are always aware that their fear doesn’t make any sense. Indeed, they recognize that the fear response is exaggerated. Yet, facing those fears is not an easy task for them.
An adult with arachnophobia, or fear of spiders, may recognize that a spider in front of him is not poisonous but the feeling of aversion is something he can’t help.
This kind of people cannot go into their backyard for fear of spiders. In extreme cases, they may even think that crossing the streets isn’t safe from spiders, thus, making their world smaller and smaller.
Fear is a basic emotional response to a potential danger that is usually connected with pain and anxiety. We fear something because we sense an impending danger.
And if the fear is valid, it helps us avoid the danger that is bound to happen. However, when fear is irrational, something that is excessive and unreasonable, then it becomes a phobia.
The person suffering from it is living with fear and anxiety. When fear starts getting out of hand and begins to interfere with daily normal functions, it’s about time that the phobia is addressed. Such fear is causing a level of impairment physically and psychologically.
Many people think that phobias are formed by nature and nurture. Some people think that fear has a primal source. Others relate a negative or traumatic experience to the core of their phobia.
While no one can exactly tell the origins of phobias, they are definitely a type of mental illness. Researchers are still at work to determine how much genetics and environment affect or influence the development of a mental illness.
Another theory is that certain things trip wires in our brains. As we get older, most of us outgrow these fears. Some of us don’t. And some of us apparently have extraordinarily sensitive fear alarms.
Advances in research make it possible to override phobias with new learning, improved treatments, and effective therapies. The goal is not to disconnect the fear but to overcome it with new learning that overrides the underlying fear.
Anything that is built on fear is like it is built on sand.
In our world today, it is extremely important to release and transform fear! When there is so much fear around us, you may ask yourself what is the importance of this and how to do this?
The importance of changing fear into trust changes the way we see our life and how we live it.
When we live in fear we react out of fear and everything becomes limited. The shallow, tight feeling of fear affects the way we breathe and even our immune systems. When our immune systems are depleted we invite physical challenges.
Our limited thoughts color the way we imagine our lives. For example do you see the glass half empty or half full? Our thoughts draw to us exactly what we are most afraid of so that is why this work is so important. The first step to transforming our fears is to identify them.
Identify one of your fears.
Begin doing this by intuitively checking into your life like you would swing a pendulum.
If you swing into a part of your life and you feel resistance, you most likely are making a decision out of fear. If you then again try to swing into the same situation and the swing makes your heart feel open, there is trust.
If you find a place where fear is a foundation, you need to let that go, because anything that is built on fear is like it is built on sand. It really won’t stand firm in the newness. Be willing to change the fearfulness into trust and limitlessness.
Embrace your fear.
One way to begin transforming your fear is to sit quietly and visualize that fear and bring it close to you.
Whether this is a belief in your relationships, career, or health, remember it is part of you and is like an old friend.
A good way to release that fear is to sit quietly and imagine you by the sea. Bring in either a whale or dolphin to assist you in your relaxation.
Let the fearfulness be released using the whales and the dolphins. Use their energy to exchange your fear patterns. This is their greatest gift for you and to you. They will exchange your fear patterns quite joyfully, playfully.
You don’t need to give your fear patterns to them, but you can bring the fear patterns to them for exchange: release them into the sea and be filled with their (the dolphins’ and the whales’) joyfulness, their limitlessness, and their fearlessness. And you will see so clearly how it all works because they have it to give.
That is their purpose—to give— and more and more of you will be drawn to their hearts because you are ready at last to give up what has really never been yours. You have worn old fear from who knows when and how, and it really doesn’t matter.
All that matters is that you no longer wear the fear, because it is like old clothes that no longer fit you. If they were never yours, they don’t belong to you and don’t suit you.
Let go of things that no longer suit you until you are more and more free and clear to play in the wind and the sand and the sun—until you are more and more free inside yourselves to just be who you are.
Be not afraid, for those who have filled you with limited fearful thoughts are around you in your everyday lives. As you know, you can always go out and find fear whenever you ask.
If you ask around long enough, you will find an answer that is filled with fear, and then you won’t take your next step.
Remember, without fear everything is available to you.
Stay firm in your commitment to joyfulness, and you will see things change around you that have never changed prior to this.
You will see—as you begin experiencing the end of old beliefs, resolution of old conflicts, the tearing down of old structures where there is any foundation of fear—they will be replaced in the essence of the new.
As you change within yourself, you will help to change your world. Continue to clear and love yourself, and you will feel the depth of your world shift.
When you find yourself with the feeling of ultimate resistance or fear, bless that polarity, for that is given to you so you can work upon something inside yourself that can be changed and shift your outer world.
Take that fear, that polarity, those relationships, and place it (them) on a Bridge of Light. You can do this with any part of your life to receive support where there is resolution needed.
Remember joy is your choice-choose it

One you have altered that program in your brain, then symptoms are also consequently minimized. If you have any reluctance when it comes to the control of your brain programs, then you have to be assured that hypnotherapy is a safe method.

One of the best ways to combat fear is to stop and take time to connect with your body. You can try following the steps below and find yourself free of any anxiety fear:
• Sit quietly or lie down while you keep your eyes shut.
• Starting from your feet and working your way upwards, scan your body for sensations.
